I might be a bit late to the party, but I’m finally on Twitter. Regular readers of my website probably noticed the Twitter feed in the side bar a few weeks ago. I just wanted to write this post for those who follow on RSS or by email.
Twitter offers a lot of options that just don’t fit well in a blog. For example, I come across tons of excellent time-lapse videos but can’t dedicate a post to each new one. If you’re a subscriber, you probably don’t want ten emails or feeds in a day.
I also think this could help me respond to questions faster. I like the social aspect to the site and how it lets people bring others into a discussion.
Lastly, I like the retweet function. If you send me a new video that’s worth sharing, I can do it right away without having to take the time to format a blog post.
What to Expect
Just like this blog, I expect my Twitter feed to be a pretty laid back affair. I’m still learning feed etiquette and expectations, so I’ll be slow on tweets at first. If you have any suggestions, leave a comment below or hit me up on Twitter @TimeLapseBlog. See you there!
