Lightroom 4 Beta

Lightroom 4

The Beta Download is Over

Adobe has revamped their popular Lightroom software and is offering the beta free until March 31, 2012. Once the official Lightroom 4 is released, this version will stop working.

So why download Lightroom 4 for a limited time? Because it’s a very user friendly way to work with large amounts of photos and process them from RAW to jpeg. It doesn’t quite match the power of Photoshop, but I’m falling in love with its ease of use and interface. I might just have to buy my own copy after the release.

Another reason to download this beta is to try the free LRTimelapse software. I haven’t completely figured out how to use this yet, but I’ll post a new video if I come up with a simple step-by-step method. The official tutorials are helpful but a little more involved than I need as a Lightroom newbie.

  1. This is also a great time to actually buy Lightroom, since at the moment you can get version 3 for around 130 bucks, depending on where you look. Even if you Upgrade it later on (The update from V2 to V3 costs 99$), you still save around 70$ if Adobe sticks with the 299$ for the full version…
Oh, and by the way: Great blog!

    Cheers Tobi
