Last week I featured a video about the Everyday iPhone 4 app that creates a time-lapse from self portraits. Now a new website claims to be making an iPhone app meant to record your daily life through time-lapse. It uses a snug pouch to hang your phone from your neck with the camera facing forward. While I find the idea intriguing, I’m not sure how well this would work in real world implementation.
As I see it, there are several large, possibly insurmountable, obstacles to overcome. These include movement, changing light conditions, storage space, and power. There are other iPhone time-lapse apps, so this app would have to find a way to stand above the crowd. Then again, I was the person who said Apple should stick to mp3 players instead of getting into cell phones.
A brief search didn’t uncover any videos made this way so far, but I’ll be keeping my eye out for similar videos. I’m sure someone’s made something like this with a GoPro HD but I can’t find anything.[via Wireless Emporium]
