When I first began making time-lapse videos a couple of years ago, some of the first quality videos I came across were from someone called MILapse (for Michigan time-lapse) on youtube. Since that time, MILapse has come out with some cool tools for people interested in making time-lapse videos who have a few extra dollars to spend. In his newest video, MILapse uses his zero-stage dolly to create a focus pull video using a Panasonic DSLR.
I’ve always suggested locking your camera’s focus before beginning a time-lapse, but this new method gives a really interesting look to the video. If you have one of the Panasonic cameras that allow selective focus, you might want to check out the video below.
