I decided to try a few new things with this video. It features a moving camera, music, and is a combination of three different videos.
I hosted the video on Vimeo because it seems to have higher quality playback than YouTube. It was shot, as always, on my Canon S3 IS with CHDK. I used ISO 800 to minimize blur despite increased noise. I used “program” as the setting, but might try “shutter priority” set to at least 1/100 to further decrease blur in future videos. The opening shot, from the tripod, might actually benefit from increased blur and a lower ISO.
I also cheated a bit and included music from a fairly well-known band, The Black Keys, who are from near my home town. I think the video is better for it, but I tried to find music from unknown bands for subsequent videos.
