I believe the problem was because the FAT16 format only worked on smaller SD cards. I've installed CHDK on 4gb cards with mixed results. There are so many reasons to use CHDK outside of time-lapse. I use it to shoot RAW, take 50 seconds exposures, and monitor my battery life. I’m glad the tutorial helped you. He was taking pictures at shutter speeds that weren't supposed to exist on his model :P Anyway, after reading your tutorial, it is all so much easier than I had anticipated, and now I'm really eager to try it myself!
